Register here for our self-help program Sanakun Bikhayr. The program is free and anonymous.

Who is Sanakun Bikhayr for?

The informative self-help program Sanakun Bikhayr is designed for Arabic-speaking women aged 16 and older who have experienced harassment or assault. The program was developed by women, for women.

How can this self-help program support me?

Through the program, you will receive information on how sexual harassment and assault can affect mental health. We explore questions such as:

  • Why does no one talk about sexual violence, even though one in three women experiences it?
  • Why do I feel guilt, shame, or fear?
  • How is my body affected by this experience?

In addition, you will receive initial guidance on coping with the distressing effects of sexual harassment.

Using information, small exercises, and realistic stories from four women—Sarah, Mariam, Danya, and Maya—you will learn to process your experience and find ways to deal with it.

How does the program work?

The program consists of eight different modules. You can either go through the material on your own or join live sessions with our moderators. After registering, you will find the upcoming live session dates on our website.

In both cases, the program is completely anonymous and free of charge. In the live course, you will see the moderators, but you will never have to show your face, and you can use a code name. We will not ask where you live or what you have experienced.
